Tonight, we bring you Michael Judd, in this acclaimed revival of Micheál macLiammóir’s internationally celebrated one-man show, The Importance of Being Oscar.
Judd takes us on a spirited and entertaining journey from Dublin to Paris via London and New York recounting the wit, triumphs, and tragedy of Oscar Wilde, in an explosion of richness, boldness, passion and beauty.
In Part 2, we have a second treat as we listen to the wonderful voices of Cliodhna Regan (Soprano), Myles O’Brien (Tenor) and Conor Twomey (Bass Baritone), supported by the outstanding pianist Connor Wilcox, as they perform songs associated with James Joyce.
The songs will be interspersed with some poems written by Joyce, beautifully recited by Colm Hefferon who has previously performed with the Gate, Peacock, Abbey, RTÉ and BBC.
